I bought a Triton Allure 192 this spring and took it on its maiden voyage to Canada last week. Boat has a merc 175 pro xs motor with a 21 pitch mercury enertia 3 blade prop. I was getting pretty good hole shot with prop and at 4400 rpm I was running about 40 mph and at 5800 rpm I was topping out at 50 mph. Boat is about 2100 dry weight without motor. My question is this. Would I gain anything by changing props or is my top end going to be 50 mph? Do I need to go any faster, no, but just wondering if changing props would gain me anything. Thanks.

I would have 2 say that U r good to GO

That is a heavy rig U r pushing

Look at motor manual I am guessing max RPM’s is 5000-5800

Wish I had your mercury enertia prop

A 23″ Tempest Plus might give U better speed at 4400 rpm’s B some where close to 44mph but U will not get 5800 WOT

    I get 5200 RPM’s and 52mph WOT and 42mph at 4000rpm’s with my Tempest

What to add this is GPS speeds

    Also I tried a 21″ Tempest and got 5800rpm’s WOT and 54mph

but at 4000rpm’s I was only getting around 38mph

Found out at 5800rpm’s sucked more gas then what the 2 mph top end was worth
