Would anybody know where a guy could camp and have a slip for the boat at the same place in the Duluth area? My wife and I are planning a trip there for mid July, and just wondering if such a place exists. Thanks- Josh

Are you thinking of fishing superior or an inland lake?

Definately Superior! It’s been 20 years since I’ve fished the Gitchee in a boat. The FW also wants to see Glensheen Mansion and the other houses on the shore, so something close would be a plus.

You could try spirit lake marina—- http://spiritlakemarinarv.com/ or else barkers island marina—-http://www.barkers-island-marina.com/. There are a bunch of landings all over so it may be cheaper to trailer your boat every night, but if you have a 25 plus foot boat I can see where that could be a hassle. Call these places and then pm me if nothing works out.

Is there anything close to McQuade’s for camping?
