Marine Radio ??

    I was out this week and I can recieve fine

    Issue I started having is I can only transmit about 100yds

    I do not here the power surge in my AM radio anymore when I

    key the mike to transmit

    Anybody out there have an idea want I might do??

    Thanks in advance 4 any HELP

    X2. Dad had same symptoms. Same fix cured it.

    90% of the time it’s the connector that connects the antenna to the radio. More so in new installations.

    …and in my case a couple weeks ago, 100%.

    My solder held but the wires behind the solder broke.

    If your antenna came with the plastic connector, throw it in the recycle bin, head to radio shack and ask for a PL-259 connector with a UG-175 adapter. Always solder it on.

    You’ll be good forever unless your wires break from vibration ext.
