Your right Al bow fishermen as a whole group are on the bottom of the list of our worries but what your saying is fishing in general is harmfull? At least hook/line anglers have the option of releasing what we catch.

True, I’m just saying imho I think bow fishers probably commit less illegal acts than a lot of other people, if nothing else, just from the lack of bowfishermen.
Also, they probably had to fight a lot harder to get bow fishing legal than anybody with a rod and reel.

I’m betting spearing results in more musky’s killed than bowfishing.

Main point I guess, is you can’t narrow it down to one type of fishermen, law breakers come in all kinds.
    once again….imho

C&R can and is practiced by bow folks. They just don’t let loose and the fish swims away. But I know what your saying.

I just watched “Deliverance” and in that movie Burt Reynolds shot a trout bowfishing and Jon Voight took a shot at a buck with tiny little developing antlers (June I would guess). It was outrageous behavior! Oh…. They also stuck a couple of sodomizing hillbillies, but that is ok!

Thank god you and your high horse people can still spear in the winter so no one can watch the wounded game fish swim away
