Good timing, I just flew back from there last night.
Okeechobee (sp) is a ways SE of Orlando
Kissimmee is about 30min south of the Orlando airport. There are a lot of lakes in that area. I talked to a few guys that were fishing the local lakes to Kissimmee and they all seemed to be doing well despite the god-forsaken heat. Saw a lot of pics of bass in the 4 to 7 pound class with a few 10+
I opted to go to St. Petersberg and fish the bay/coast. Sea trout everywhere. Stingrays are in shallow, and cool to see. Sand bar and a school of mullets will have you in all the fish you want to catch.
