We had our 25 hp 1986 evinrude(blue/white) stolen from our cabin in onamia,mn. We were up two weeks ago and noticed it was taken from our garage. I dont expect to ever see it again but thought I would post just in case. I will look for photos.
Bugs me when others have to steal ones goods.
I suppose the the poor economy, many are losing items.
I use to park my boat on the street when I got home from the river or lake. Now I have to take the time to back it into the garage or I worry I will have a graph or 2 missing in the am.
Man, that sucks.
I keep my boat in the garage at all times when its not in use and I keep the tongue locked in there even. And the 20 is locked to the transom.
Trust nobody any more.
What a shame… I keep my boat in the water in front of my house, went years without a problem. Two years age we lost everything that wasn’t bolted down.
You have probably checked but if you didn’t look into your homeowners or renters insurance policy unless of course you have a special boat policy. Good luck!
You might want to keep an eye on Craigslist or eBay. Did you file a report? I suppose if you don’t have a serial number it would be hard to prove it was yours.
Hopefully when they are carrying it the drop it prop first onto their foot.

I can’t stand thieves. I’ve had some gear stolen and it’s a sick feeling. I hope they catch who took your motor.

there was some thieving going on in the mazominee point area of cove bay earlyer this spring. a neighbor had a small outboard stolen also. might want to contact the sheriff’s office and see if they might be connected. some of the other neighbors report seeing a light colored minevan in the area prior to the theft………..tom
It makes you want to shoot people. Here I have a 85 horse and a 115 horse mid 1970’s Johnson laying in the yard and noone has picked them up and run off. Of course they’d have to show up with a forklift.
