The FW just called, apparently the tractor inner tubes that were sitting in the sun exploded. Guess the kids will have to figure out something different than tubing next winter, or have plan B for the pool that isn’t up yet.

Agree, stay in my air-condition 20 room 8 bathroom house that uses over $30,000.00 in utility cost a year.

I was just in the garage. Fired up the Strikemaster, sat on a 5 gallon pail and stared at the floor for a while. I had my best luck with gill pills.

I spent the morning until noon on the lake and it was not too bad. Water temps up to 77.8.

Heck it isn’t even hot yet, it feels very hot but it isn’t. When I lived on the gulfcoast of texas the heat indecies were 130. The window next to the airconditioner in our house broke because of the heat indeference. The trees drip water and transpaire to cool themselves and the middle of July until October the leaves wilt because thay can’t pull up water fast enough and the roots are in the watertable, its 9′ above sea level. You can hardly breath and people that were born down there die all the time, its hot and very uncomfortable but this isn’t even close to the intensity of the heat down there. You heard the saying dripping wet, its litterly that wet and hot in a t-shirt by 9:00 in the morning and soaked to the knees by noon in bluejeans, you’d have to experience it to believe it. Ya thats hot but its still hot and humid here too.

Dang Tom….thats where the air temp is supposed to be. 97 yet at 8 PM after 102 this afternoon. I was going to do some watering about 2 this afternoon and all I could get from the hose was steam.

I thought Monday’s 97 “felt” a lot more uncomfortable. That wind and lower humidity yesterday was tolerable.

I agree about the cat fishing BK.

I believe I may hit the river Thursday or Friday but now with the looks of the temps, I may need a light jacket for that ride home on the Minnesota.

Yep. The only consolation with a 100+ degree day is that most likely the dewpoint is in the 50s. The wind helped a little too. Personally I love the heat. I don’t know if I could do it for 4 weeks straight or anything, but I will never complain about 90 degree days.
