Thought I could post this in the General Section for the time being (more views?)

    Link

    Original Post:

Dad and I may be heading North to Waubay for a 3-day Father’s Day fishing trip. Neither of us have ever been there. Anybody have any information that would be useful?

Fishing Report? Where to stay? Where not to stay? Any fishing tips? Preferred bait? Anything? Etc.

    Thanks.

I havent fished it in a few years, there is a State Park nearby that is nice. Wistler jigs ( white) Lindy Rigs leechs-crawlers/ slip bobbers in the wood- there are a lot of lakes nearby to try other than Waubay ( some of the smaller lakes can be hot and keep you out of the wind if it blows)- stop in the local bait shops for up to date reports most have some good info. Good Luck

The bait shop in Webster is a good place to stay. He has a couple rooms off the back/side of the shop.
