Funny you posted that Jeff. I was just wondering the same thing (whether the rollers are open etc.) Regardless, I still think I’ll venture down there tomorrow.
I lost the link to the river stages and can’t seem to find it on goggle. Would someone please post it?? YUP some updates wouldn’t hurt being I’m leaving in the morning to drive 5 hours up there
haven’t been there for a week, but water was close to the fish cleaning shack at that time. One lane to the north trailers, at most. Most of the north ramps were within 1ft of being under water. Don’t know since then.
Will be down there next week. Here’s hoping that it recedes a bit. NO RAIN DANCES!
Thanks guys.
I guess I just got use to the multiple reports I used to see from that area in the past.
Gheese I miss that guy
Brian, I dont care which species is hitting, I just want OUT on the water and to be safe at night
When I was there Tuesday, the north ramps were both gone, the water was at the base of the house. I watched a guy back a 30′ 5th wheel trailer through 8″ of water to get it to the north end where he parked it. I was sure hoping the river had not decided to gobble up the lane that was under water. He made it through and parked.
Fish? I don’t know. I had so many mechanical problems I did not make it out. Jim said the fish were biting for what that is worth.
One thing that struck me though was that the water was relatively clear. It was stained but not muddy and there was little or no debris in it. Oh ya, there was plenty of it.

here is another one to use
NorthStar, the clear water was coming out of the Trembel, the rest of the river is a bit darker. Water temps is 66 at 11pm. But she’s going to warm up Friday.
Walleyes, Jesse’s White Bass, Channels and Eric’s Sheephead are bitting very good.
The tourney is Friday and Saturday. With the warm weather, bite and a bit of sun, it’s going to be one of the busier weekends on the river so far.
Fathers day is coming up. Consider poking your family for a comfortable, inflatable life jacket this year.
Don’t know about the water level in the river much but fished the lake recently and the bite there is pretty good just about everywhere. Can line and No point sucked for me but most everywhere else was going when I was there. Lotta numbers trolling leadcore deepish 15-22′ and #5’s. Trolling bite on fireline up in 10-12′ is decent also.
Giver hell. Right now is prime for Pepin. This time of year always is.
