My internet went goofy all the sudden. Right now there is a chevy ad that is covering the entire left side of my screen. It covers up all the IDO threads. It’s not just IDO it’s any sites I’m on. Like the banner that is usually across the top of the screen isn’t there. They just flash all over the screen.

    I’m sure it’s some setting??

Sometimes a person grabs a banner by mistake and can move some. Click on banner with you right mouse key and hold as you move it to the top of your screen. Sometimes this will work… sometime it won’t….

That doesn’t work. These flash randomly all over the screen.

IF you don’t find help quick enough, call “Call That Girl” it is a Computer repair business run by a friend of mine. Very reasonable rates and most services available online so you don’t need to leave your home.

    John,

    What browser are you using?

If you’re not using firefox, go to mozilla.com, download FireFox 4. After you have that, do a Google search for adblock plus FireFox plugin. Download and install that. It will take care 99% of all ads for you, and also FireFox is 2 to 3 times faster than IE.

it sounds like Maelware.. if you have stuff, flashing all over your screen.. you will have to run an anti maelware program..

if you are the “administrator” you may need to come up with a new “administrator” like George or BK and then download and run the maelware program.. We have had to do it twice.. but it cleans every thing right up..

anti maelware is free and on a number of sites.. its called the same name or similar on each site.. but its all supposed to be the same stuff..

if the other suggestions don’t work, try my suggestion.

    I wish you well.

IS it the Chevy ad or all Flash ads on IDO causing this?

I second the rec of running malware bytes anti malware program. It wouldn’t hurt to run windows updates either, exp if you haven’t ran them in awhile.

Another one I rec is Spybot, just to ensure all the spyware has been removed.. (I’ve used that for years in my field)
What are you running for antivirus?

You might want to boot into safe mode and then run malwarebytes, I find it does a better job, it can take hours….
