What is everyone paying for these baits right now? Are there any rebates going on?

I am just starting to build up an arsenal of crankbaits and these fit the budget a bit better than raps do. Most of my trolling is done on the weedlines in about 8-14 ft of water. What are some other crankbaits that are cheap yet effective in this depth.

I will mostly be fishing natural lakes in NW Iowa and NE South Dakota.

    Thanks guys!

I think I picked mine up for about 6 bucks. You might also want to look at lindy shadlings, The smaller ones have worked good for walleyes, crappies, and even a musky.

$6 bucks for flicker shads You might as well buy shad raps. I remember when flicker shads first came out you could get them for about $2.50 most places. I think the cheapest I’ve found now is Fleet Farm for about $4 bucks.

Flicker shads work well. I’m pretty stocked up, but I bought some at Fleet Farm in a 3 pack for $8.50 on sale. Berkley also has a mail in rebate that I think is good through the end of May or June.

Most of the store in Iowa are charging $3.99 unless can find them on sale. I have been using them for 2 years now and finding that they are out fishing raps 3 to 1.

Lots of times Mills runs sales on them for either $2.49 or $2.99 and I have seen the 3 pack sale there too. I agree on the $6.00 flicker shad I have a ton of rapalas I got at Mills on sale for 4.99 last year. Keep your eyes open and Mills will eventualy have a sale.

Well I paid about $4.50 at a local shop…maybe slightly over-priced, but atleast we have them!!

What colors is everyone having the best luck with? I have about a dozen shad raps and plan on trying to duplicate the way I fish them with the flicker shads. From what I am reading I may be letting out a little more line but that is fine since we mainly troll for long distances over flats around weedlines.

Any other cranks that would work in the 8-14′ range?
