A friend of muine called me and asked if I knew where to get info to identify an old wooden rod. There is no writing on it anywhere but the reel seat has a marking: A heart with the letter b inside it. Anybody have any ideas?
its a berkley rod 
best guess is it’s a mid to lat 60’s rod, without seeing it its hard to tell
they didn’t start making rods till early 60’s
I did some research on this also… from what I have read, Berkley did not make Wooden rods, but rather Fiberglass, and some they covered with a wood wrap. Can we get a picture of the emblem ??? Lot’s of ggo diste sout there on wooden rods, alot with pictures of the trademark stamps
