It’s the Favorite Daughters 30th birthday on the 25th…does that qualify for 16 and under?

Well that post was as clear as mud. Point was that the weather on Saturday looks pretty good.

In the first corner, weighing in at a combined total of 410lbs (at least) , running the river in a 14ft V pushed by a 25hp Merc is team Drew n Bret. Both with little experience on Pool 7 are keeping high hopes of a nice green fish for weigh in. The one thing this team is sure of……a good time and laughter causing sore stomachs while spending time together

And in the second corner, weighing in at a total of 400lbs, running a bass rig with a refrigerator hangin off the back we have team Iowiegen Red.
This team is a local favorite but can be taken down from any other team in this event. If seen on the water they lay flat to the floor as not to be recognized. The Iowiegen is not hard to spot. He will be sprotin’ bloodshot eyes while holding his head and trying to keep it together with a morning hangover. His partner is just as easy to spot. This will be the big red walking around with a fist full of rods in each hand and 200lbs of tackle hangin’ from his neck

    Let the games begin

    I am not amused.

Okay……it was a little funny. Very accurate, but just a little funny…

Although I will say this….if you run into Bret and he has a Blatz in his hand, be sure to stay upwind. Or just steer clear altogether….

Looks like I’ll have to miss this again Tom
Between not being able to find a partner (I tried old rat but you never answered my PM) and the high water predicted for this weekend (no way can I do a flow like that solo)
So I accepted an offer from whiskerkev to do some kitty fishing in Madison Friday night

Good Luck everyone and have FUN

    “Any cupcakes showing up?”
Probably, but I don’t think I’d call him ‘cupcake’ if he has an Old Style in his dominant hand.

I thought I threw away those little leprechaun booties you always wear. Those friggen bells were annoying.

What a fantastic day and a great time. Although our boat only landed a handful of bass, we had a fun time, for sure. It was great to explore some new water and meet some great people. Some nice fish were weighed at the landing.

Thank you Donaldson’s for throwing yet another awesome ho down in Dresbach. The fishing was good and the Dogs and Barbeques with the rest of the layout was once again awesome
I had the pleasure of sharing my floater with Drew H. and the one thing I predicted was spot on. We had a lot of laughs, it was a blast buddy Drew I tell Mike you said thanks for not coming this year

I did not get a pic of the take off but it sure was cool to see. Boats of every size and color ready to go hunt down a big fish for some prize money

I did get these pictures however…..

This beauty sheepie was over 9lbs if I remember right. I bet that was a fun time battling the wide sided tanker!
A beauty LM for the weigh in.
My opinion, this dude is holding a great catch in each hand
Busy weigh in at the landing, its fun listening to everyone yakin’ on what worked and what didn’t work. And as always there at least one good get away story!!
This barbeque didn’t stand a chance against Zane.
A couple refreshments after the eats
The table that provided the catch of the day. Thanks a ton Renee for another great lunch, you rock

Can’t wait till next years event

I wish to thank everyone for showing up Saturday. I was amazed 57 people fished the tourney and all those who won took home $95 for their efforts.

I had the privilege of meeting IDO member cpetey and his partner. I apologize for not being able to chat with your guys longer.

Jeremy and I had a pretty good day fishing Friday, but we couldn’t replicate the same results on Saturday. We brought in one nice Bass, a Pike and 4 meaty Bluegills but none were able to challenge for the 1st place spot.

I hope everyone who fished and came up for lunch had a great time. The weather was spot-on perfect and the food hit the spot! Thanks Bret(Marianne) for the cake, it was awesome! Hopefully Bret didn’t lose the spoon on the way home.

Again, thanks to everyone who showed up. It’s always a special day and one I look forward to doing again very soon.

Well, it seems as if every thing has been said about the great efforts Blue and family have made. I enjoyed learning to fish the lake and bs with Brett. I met members of I D O like C Peety. Thanks to Brett and Blue.

Drew just sent me a picture of the snot rocket that smacked a swim jig during the event. A little on the small side but it made for an awesome Sunday morning breakfest
