Ptm. Peterson must be going through a difficult time in his carrier. The out pouring of support from strangers for the most part indicats there are still good people out here. K9 Officer Copper was NOT JUST A Dog! K9 Officer Copper was capable of saving not only his own partner but maybe a Bagly citizen.I had the opportunity to meet K9 Officer Asta and her partner. How many friends do you have that will take down a person who is shooting at your partner. Then there is Sally another friend of Peterson. Has anyone started a reward for the arrest of the shooter (s)?

Thank you for the compliments, but I will be more than compensated by the exposure (my cynical side showing)

The pain is really Ptm Petrson’s who lost two friends and colleagues and now has to start over. Not an enviable position to be in…

The fund will be split between a Reward and a Replacement Fund. The percentage has not been determined as of yet and public comment is desired. Ptm Peterson ‘probably’ has a pretty good idea how and who did this, but may not ever generate enuf legal evidence to effectuate an arrest. So at some point, funds escrowed for reward would roll to the Replacement fund. All to be determined at this point.

    Stu,

I want to say THANK YOU for all that you are doing with this cause. I grew up in a family of police officers: dad, brother, numerous cousins and plenty of friends. While they might not be perfect as some people want them to be, they are the first ones to step in when trouble is happening.

This story hits quite close to home as Roseville Officer John Jorgensen and Major live just down the street from me. I get to see them everyday when they take their walk around the neighborhood. I have talked to John about how Major is doing occasionally. John says that Major is handling better than his human friends.

Everytime my kids pet Major, I remind them they are petting a hero…..

    Thanks Again,

    Ron

Got a PayPal acct set up for donations. The donations will be split between a Reward and a Replacement fund. The funds will be escrowed by Riverwood Bank in Bagley. (218) 694-6153 if you have questions. I’ll get an officer contact there.

The paypal email is [email protected].

All donations any size are appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

sadly, this happens everyday. I am guessing this dog would have begged for a bullet weeks before dying… Scum comes in all shapes, forms and occupations. This has little to do with shooting a dog that was healthy and not yours.
