I have a herron that has been frequenting, and dining on my wifes Koi Fish.

This Water Garden idea is becoming a battle, with this stubborn Bass tert who has chosen to fill his fat A&$$ with the FW’s pet fish.

How the HE-DBL Toothpicks, do I rid myself of this HEATHEN.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jeff H.

Get a Border Collie, and give her a treat every time she chases one.

Stop putting koi in the pond! What the heck did you expect to happen?

Paintball gun. It’s hunting’s version of ‘Catch & Release.’

Or a steak if she catches it

Grandpa had to put netting over there catfish pond in Missouri to keep the dang things out. They sure can raise heck where they are not wanted. Next thing you know they have buddies along for the treats.

Paintball gun! Set the power low and do a little target practice. I use one to keep the grays away from the bird feeder. Now I just tap on the window and they run for cover.

I had a kingfisher that would dine on our Koi at 6 am and 6 pm
every day. Very predictable. I put a fake owl on top of the arbor behind the pond and he doesnt bother anymore.

P.S. Did I mention that I also hit him with a pellet gun one night?

How’d you get that close? I always see them perched on powerlines.

He always landed in the same tree when he got there. Like I said “very predictable”. So I was in my ground blind (a big bush) when he arrived.
We also tried a nearly invisible netting for him to get tangled in when he dove. I guess his eyes were better than mine, or smarter than me, or both.

I have used several decoys, geese, snakes, crocs, even herron decoys; they were supposed to be afraid of another herron/territorial Not True!!!

1…I like the Owl Decoy Idea.. that might work!!!!

    2…Paint balls are next

3S… Hope not to go that far…

I hate to be out smarted buy a Bird in front of the FW.

I would put a hookless lure out on the pond tied to some heavy braid on a rod & wait him out. When he grabs the lure & flies off straighten his neck out for him. He will think twice before coming back.
