Snakes as Bait

    Really? I have a mouse in the basement ceiling that has evaded my traps for months, both glue and the original mouse trap. Not to mention 4 bags of cab down there. I think the cab has just made him move to the other side of the ceiling. Yes, the legend of Ted continues.

    As for snakes, I turn into Steve Irwin when I see one. The rancid smell garter snakes emit is disgusting.

    I would think using them as bait would just lead to tangles, but the technique described earlier makes sense. Just make sure no birds of prey are around.

    I was fishing Lake Sakakawea in Garrison, North Dakota And had large bull snake drop out of the trees right next to the boat.
    It made a bee line straght for the boat, I made a bee line straight for the boat landing.
