These steps are going to make boating (launch/recovery) so much better!

    What do you think?

I have thought about getting one that would sit on the main frame in front of my winch.

I like that one but my concern would be when I walk around the boat I would walk into it. I have a tendency to do dumb things like that when I am in a hurry.

From the good reports, one may have to try them.

Babe Winkelman has a set of steps that are up by the winch.
They look pretty handy but I would need to see them mounted on a boat in person before I would have a interest in either style. Great idea though.

I got a bad foot and 60 something so they will help. I plan on going out for the 1st time thursday 5/19

they usually mount on the starboard side but I have the 3′ swivel tongue and my garage is only 18′ deep so in at an angle and tongue folded all the way up.

    Heres mine:

If you launch alone alot, they are a lifesaver….. just dont slip off of them, particularly with shorts on.

Went out for the 1st time today with my new rig (pic above) easy in/out, just getting used to the controls, I had a tiller 22 years ago and this is my 1st boat since..

Rode around for 3 hrs, according to the gas gauge didn’t use much

Took me longer to put the rig back in the garage than what it did to launch/recover combined

reddog..you don’t have the swivel tongue?? Doesn’t look like

yr bad, mine was 1930 and 18′, thinking of building a new one! Make life easier and less time backing in, the old garage there is about 1 1/2 inches on each side, no fishing beers My power steering unit was dry, on the old truck, that’s why things weren’t going as usual at the ramp also, crap!
