Jeff I think in that case the effort you make will determine a ticket or not. If you have ALL your plugs out and the CO con see you have done all you can, hopefully they will use some sense and see your effort. Guess you could always carry a jug of vinegar and pour some in there to mix with the water.

Guys I am not trying to hide anything and I dont feel like a criminal for doing this while at my cabin, I am willing to bet I will never get a ticket if checked. Well unless the CO is having a really bad day.

I am all for stopping aquatic hitchhikers and I know I have never had part in spreading from lake to lake. Like I said my boat is washed weekly and livewells rinsed. When I head to ML in a few weeks I wash on a monday and let dry all week, then wash the following monday before heading back to Winnie.

I think you might be looking at my post in the wrong way. If everyone did what I did to prevent it there wouldnt be a problem.

I must have missed that originally.

If I had a boat like yours, I would be washing it too!

Cory, thats exactly the problem. Not everybody does what you do. Therefore they passed a law. Because you wash the boat weekly it still doesn’t make you above the law.

Don’t get me wrong………I don’t care if you drain your bait or not. My point was if you don’t and you get caught you need to pay the ticket just like everybody else. It’s your choice to take the chance or to follow the law. It’s the same exact choice we each make when driving. If we speed and get caught we gotta pay!

Brian- I understand what you meant and I by no means think I am above the law because I wash my boat haha. Yes if I get a ticket for it I am not going to give the CO a hard time but I will definitely plead my case. I wouldn’t take it to court or anything because its cheaper just to pay the fine. If doing what I am doing now by any means hurt the lake I wouldn’t do it.
