Rain or shine, my wife, kids and I are going to fish our way up to Mille Lacs tomorrow hitting one, possibly two crappie lakes. I haven’t scene my wife this excited about the walleye opener in years. Maybe because we’re going to the lake we love so dear. Last year we went catfishing and caught a ~7# eye (thanks Brian).

I’m guessing I’ll see a few of you out of Fisher’s?? If not, maybe at the Malmo Market. I hear they have broasted chicken this year.

Good luck and be safe to all of those fishing this weekend!

    Where are you going?

Now Cory, I asked you nicely not to bring that up again.

I have a reputation at stake!

But she was pretty! Your wife not the fish of course.

Good luck to all you walleye people!

Hopefully we won’t have as bad of luck this year as we did last year.

See a boat with something that looks like a small black bear at a distance in it, that’s me. Good luck Cory.

we will be pounding the Wealthwood area, leaving my boat home this year, going out in a few smaller boats, so if she is a rock’n I’m getting off the lake. Everyone stay safe out there.

Lots of boats being towed around tow today. Its good to see. Im sure HWY 65 in Blaine right outside my office window will be one boat after the other heading north all day tomorrow. Even though we are staying in town and fishing pool 2 its still hard not to get excited about fishing opener. Guess thats part of being a Minnesotan.

    Go get um guys.

Grindstone on Saturday and P2 on Sunday is my plan. I don’t care how cold it gets as long as it doesn’t rain.
