Is a 14ft even rated for a 60HP. I have a Lund SSV 14 and it is just rated for a 40. A 60 on a 14 would be a scary ride.

I currently have a 15HP and would like the extra 10 HP.

As I understand it since I only have a 14ft boat I do not need some of the other stuff that is legally required for larger boats.

The boat is rated for 50hp. In practice, i’ve found the ratings to be about 50% underrated for MY abilities, but right on for my employees and clients. So 60hp is more than I’d want to be liable for on this hull. 25hp is perfect.

Made some serious progress yesterday.
Got the asscy panels cut and sealed for the Sylvan.
Got the driver & passenger floor holes cut and prepped for the arrival of the pedestals.

Got the GAS TANK PLUMBED!!! Couple little FF fittings and we gassing up!!
Hailer mounted.
Still a whole little mess of stuff to do.

Just waiting for the motor tunings now. 15kicker and 25hp driver both in.

At this rate i will be fishing before freeze up!!
