    Hi Dean –

Only had the pleasure to meet you but a few times – however, your kindness and willingness to share information about P4, presentations, rods, reels, and opinions on bait have been unmatched! I trully thank you for that. I’ll wave and say hi if our paths cross again. Good luck to ya man!

    Thanks,

Deano, The only thing that has changed is Evert’s resort. All the friends that you have made over the years are there forever. The respect that you have earned by your fellow anglers and the many great days on the water that you have helped a many of anglers to enjoy by with your willingness to share are priceless. Your knowledge and expertise on the Miss has made you a legend that will never be forgotten. They will last a lifetime by those who have had the memories to be able to fish 365 in Minnesota.
Best Wishes for you my friend and Thank you for always having the ramps open, hot coffee and cheer.

    Dean,
What can I say that has not already been said, you are a class act my friend and Everts will just not be the same without you there, I have a feeling that Everts is going to figure that out in the very near future. Now that you have some free time on your hands how about you and I hook up for some fishing, I would love to learn first hand from the master himself, How about we meet at Colville.
Best of Luck with whatever you decide to do Dean, what ever it is I know you will do well and you know your IDO family will be behind you and support you all the way!

Take care my friend and keep in touch!

Dean, All I can say is thank you for all you have done for the sport of fishing. I will miss stopping by to get the latest tips. You were always very generous with sharing your wealth of knowledge of pool 4. Good luck in the future and if your ever down pool 14 way. I’ll always have a open seat for you. It would be my pleasure to spend a day on the water with you. In my book you will always be the “Walleye Guru”.

    Dean,
You are a true ambassador to the sport of fishing. Anyone who has launched out of Evert’s and had the opportunity to talk to you has come away feeling like they just made a new friend. Thanks so much for the handfull of times I was down there. I wish you the best and please keep all of us updated on your future endeavors. I guess I will take the public launch for free from here on out. You made the trip to Evert’s worthwhile.

Deano, I am going to miss the 2nd hand fish gossip I get twice a week from the day old donut producer. For me it was like having day old coffee with you. Wish I could have had it fresh brewed more often. I have a feeling we may very well still have that chance in the future though. Your feet are firm and strides are long so one should watch out where you land. Stay in touch.

P.S. I will still call it Dean’s Pass when I blow right by, as the only thing left to see is all the hard work of years gone by.

    Dean,

I wish you the best! I appreciate all you have done and am grateful for you being there to help all of us that relied on you for whatever we needed. I know I have some spoons you found for me that I am so happy to have and that Hi-Vis line you sent is amazing! You made that resort and it will never be the same again.

Thank you Dean for all the excellent, honest advise that helped us become better fishermen and sharing your genuine friendship with my family and I. Looking forward to sharing in your next success. They have lost the heart & soul of the business, and life support probably wouldn’t help. Enjoy your time off, and good luck in all you do. Would love to spend some time fishing with you, and promise to bring your bars from Tammy & some warm coffee. Take care & see you soon.

    You da man, Dean!!!!

The best Little Bait shop has now sliped into the past.

For Everts Resort, this will be a hard one to recover from.

Its a sad day for P4. How many times I’ve read “see Dean for the latest bite” You seemed just as happy about your customers fishing success as the guys catching the fish. The fish I caught off your good advise or color choice will never be replaced. You will be missed my friend. Good luck to you.

I have left this one alone for long enough.

I for one feel deep sorrow for Everts resort. I thought for many years that your last name was Evert, because people who work that hard for someone else simply does not happen anymore. Customer Service at it’s best.

The help you have given me, the smiles, the bait left at the door because I was showing up late to fish cats with a “pay the next time you are down”, the drinking coffee on a cold January day to warm my butt from the water, the offer to take your brand new Ranger for a cruise to see if I like it. A guy can go on and on.

I wish you the best in your future, but as has been noted, good people like yourself always have a way to land on their feet and things will be better for you.

Thanks for all you have done. You are truely a class act

Dean – from the first day we met I knew you represented the one piece of knowledge handed down from my hero aka Gramps. Never, never, never compromise your own integrity… That’s the one thing you take with you when you leave this planet.

There’s nothing I can add to all the fitting comments except please contact me if there’s anything I can do to help you in the future. Lord only knows I owe you for all you’ve taught me about river fishing.

One the bright side – I no longer will feel guilty when launching at Colville or Bay point…

Your gonna be missed my friend!

Dean, I’ve never met you but think I’m a pretty good judge of character and by what others have said it sounds like you must be a nice guy. Take this thread and print it and take it too the bank and put in a small resort close to where the dam is. Any bank that see’s this thread will know it’s worth the money. Good luck in future endeavors!

Dean, just wanted to express my appreciation for the top notch service and help, even though I’ve only been coming down to Evert’s for a relatively short time.
I just got back in town and almost missed this thread. Sad, to hear, but I’ve got to believe better things are on the horizon. Best wishes……

    HI Dean,
I have very much enjoyed getting to know you all these years and send along nothing but the best wishes and respect.
Know you do need to get some much needed rest, too many hours in a day, and too many fisherman ALL wanting of your time.

You have always handled yourself and Evert’s Resort in a very professional, and at the same time, very friendly manor, I have never heard a negative word directed to you in the years I’ve known you.
Wishing you nothing but the best in your future, call me if I can help out with anything.
    God Bless,
    Jack Naylor
