Florida Trip 2011

    We ended up having another great family trip down to Florida this past week. Weather was great all week and we had a good time. I was able to get away and do some fishing. I caught 2-3 1/2′ foot sharks of the pier next to our condo most mornings and also got some ladyfish and flounder at times. I saw a few sharks that were 5-6′ cruse by but never hooked up on one of the bigger ones. Got out on a boat the last day and ended up landing 3 nice redfish. We saw a lot of marine life off the piers that included dolphins, tarpon, sting rays, manta rays, sea turtles, and even a manatee which we were told is a very rare sight. Fun stuff!

    Very nice reds!!! I am jealous! Fishing down there is so much fun. Those little shore sharks are a lot of fun to catch!

    Sounds like a blast! My husband and I went to FL for our honeymoon in 2007 and went deep sea fishing. It was awesome! We’d love to do it again!

    Did I miss where you said you were??? Very nice red also, length and weights??? Looking like 30″ plus and 12#-15#… How were fishing them???
