Use a 3/4 ounce sinker. Cast one against there head windshield or something. They get the hint. Did I just right that?

I used to fish spring salmon the Columbia River out of Portland. Boats were stacked up like cord wood fishing in tight circles. There were lines you couldn’t cross or the game warden would bust you. All the boats took turns fishing counter clockwise up against the imaginary line. We were fishing with a guide. I’d just commented on how cool it was that people could do this without crossing lines. It was like we were all dancing to a waltz. Then I noticed half the fishermen had hand guns/shot guns visibly mounted in holsters on their steering consoles. I could’t believe what I was seeing. Scared the hell out of me that you could get shot while fishing… but it was amazing how everyone figured out how to get along…..

I think there’s a bumper sticker that says, “A armed society is a polite society”

I believe there are about 70,000 permits to carry in MN now, I wonder how many are fishermen/women??

Still illegal to shoot someone for fishing next to you, permit or not.

Ya, unfortunately, but I’m wondering if they’re tossing sharp pointed weapons at you if you couldn’t defend yourself.
Probably not in this state I bet.

I’m all for not shooting some one, especially for crap like this, but when they get so they put your well being in jepordy…not so sure anymore.

Usually I think advising them to keep their baits out of your boat should end the problem, but those who have so little concern for you as to toss stuff in your boat in the first place I doubt give a $hit for anybody else anyway.

Best answer I suppose is to leave, but there comes a time when a person might just want to stand up to his rights also, so maybe tossing a musky bait back at them makes more sense.
    But that’s probably illegal too.

I know a guy who used to carry softballs in his boat and when an offending rig came a little too close would bounce one off their rig. It only took one softball and people would leave us alone

I’m not saying, I’m just saying

I know it has been said before, but has common sense and manners been bred out of the population.

I know I am overly cautious when approaching areas where people are fishing. I don’t want to ruin other people’s fishing experience. Sometimes I cringe when in other people’s boats and they get closer or drive faster by a boat than I would.
