We put the son’s Ranger Reata on the lake this afternoon, motor started right off but none of the inboard gauges, depth finder, bilge, horn, etc would work. All fuses are good, and main braker is in on position and we tried resetting it but nothing happened. Anybody got any ideas???Thanks in advance.

Was the ground clean? Lack of a solid ground could cause such behavior…

You need to start checking the line with a volt meter.

Did you disconect any batteries last year?

    Maybe you missed a wire?

Perhaps the battery that runs the main is dead if it is not the same as the starter battery?

Bad bank on the onboard charger?

Volt meter will lead you to the problem.

I think the breaker is bad (if you are sure it’s hooked up correctly) , should be easy enough to check, if you jumper around it, otherwise. There should be a fuse panel somewhere mine is in the compartment in front of the driver’s seat. If an individual thing didn’t work, I don’t think there is another big main fuse. Before it distributes the power.

Loose ground wire? I’d go mark’s route and start with a volt meter.

If that makes sense, I’m posting from my phone…

I had the same problem with my 619 last year and it was a bad breaker.Replaced it and was good to go.This was after checking all the fuse block. There are little white dots on the tops of the fuses themselves and with a 12v tester you can just touch the tops of your fuses on the dots to test test them without pulling them. BILL

There’s a breaker in the battery compartment where the starter battery goes and it was kicked out. You have to push it in and then there’s a “catch” to hold it in . I thought I had reset but didn’t get it “stuck” in the in position. All is well. The book for this boat does not give much info at all on the electrical system. Thanks for comments guys. !!!
