As most of you read, my son’s hockey gear was stolen from the back of my truck last week. He learned alot from it as did I.
Here is a link to the story: Life Lessons
Last week, my son found a book at a local gymnasium while watching his sister was playing volleyball. It was a book from the Elk River high school library. He asked everyone that was high school age if the book was theirs. No takers, so I told him to put it back where he found it and if it was still there when we were leaving we would grab it. It was still there so I made a point of driving up to the high school to give it back to the borrower. I found the person after going through some run around. She thanked me a lot as the school charged her a bunch of money because it was reported lost.
Well on my way home I decide to stop at a sports store to price new skates for me. Low and behold, I find my skates and Jonathan’s skates sitting on the used skate shelf. I grab the manager and tell him the story. He in turns calls the owner, a guy that I have known for 20 years. The owner comes in and asks me to describe the contense of his hockey bag because they still have it in the back room. I tell him what exactly is in the bag including what color the hockey tape is, light blue camo. He starts to laughs. Yep, he says those are yours. He tells me to take it home to my son
My son is going to scream when he sees his hockey bag when he gets home.
Karma
Who knows.
BTW: The store has full video, pictures of his face, pics of his truck, pics of his friends.
