Best way to keep minnows alive

    I usually fish on Saturday or Friday and I’ve been able to keep the extra minnows alive for over a week in a 5 gallon bucket with an aerator. I change the water about mid-week.

    I keep mine in the fridge when not in use last for months changing the water once a week. No aerator needed.

    With me the difference between live bait and dead bait is about half an hour.

    Been my exprience that heat will kill them quicker than lack of oxygen, like others posted, keep them cool and change water if it’s needed.
