The best way to keep minnows alive is to buy plastics and crankbaits I have a minnow bucket small enough to keep in my cooler, pack ice around it and the minnows stay alive a long time
gbfan10 Hastings, mnPosts: 351 May 4, 2011 at 5:43 pm #963331 I usually fish on Saturday or Friday and I’ve been able to keep the extra minnows alive for over a week in a 5 gallon bucket with an aerator. I change the water about mid-week.
