    Howdy,

I drive a 2000 Dodge Dakota SLT. The rear bumper has seen it’s share of hard knocks and dings over the last decade, the chrome plating is cracked and it’s getting pretty rusty. I’d like to replace it. I called the local Dodge dealer and the price he quoted me was astonishing. Anyone have a better idea on where I can find a replacement?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You can try Certifit in Vadnais Heights. I got a mirror for my truck for way cheaper than Toyota OEM, and I honestly cannot tell the difference. I can’t guarantee that their bumper would be up to your standards, but you can inspect before you buy, so if you don’t like it, no harm done.

I used to work at a grain/feed/equipment dealer and we sold a lot of DMI bumpers, they bolt right on and have springs on the drawbar to take care of the bumps. We had one that outlasted three trucks and we did a lot of heavy towing ! Not sure what one would cost anymore, but just a suggestion.

    Google John’s Auto, Blaine Mn.
They have a search feature to look for parts, I did the search and they have two.
If you want I can run over and look at them for you.
