Osseo WI

    There is a cabin for sale in Osseo. Want to know if there are any good lakes around this area? I enjoy fishing, and spending time with the wife, if there is a place where I could take her to keep her busy that would be great. We enjoy fishing panfish and I of course fish walleye also..

    This area it is a drive to fish any decent size water unless you like to trout fish. The closest would be Wissota about 38 miles from Osseo. I live in Whitehall and it is a lake desert around here.

    I would agree, Im not sure I know of any lakes around that area. Being part of the bluff country its mainly streams. Lots of turkeys and deer though

    The closest lake in the area is likely Lake Eau Claire.Approximately 15 miles north of Osseo.Decent fishing lake with a good mix of most all freshwater species.It has a river that flows into & out of it which can change some lake contours yearly as it is a fairly sandy shallow water body.You will need to have either a yearly EauClaire County park sticker or pay a daily user fee for using any ramps in Eau Claire county.If you decide to check it out,spend time possibly learning the lake layout before cruising the lake fast as you could be in 15′ one second & 2’the next.
