He was buried at sea in accordance to Islamic and Muslim tradition. We wouldnt want to offend their traditions now would we?
While this is a great day for America, stop to think about what would have happened if we had kept his body where Al Quaida could try to get it? It would not be a good thing to put our servicemen and women in more harm by protecting the body of this piece of garbage.
Also, can you imagine the amount of fanfare if he was put on trial? Military tribunal or regular courts, protection, court costs, lawyer fees. I for one would love to pony up the few bucks for the bullet that ended it.

No no no no no..There’s going to be enough of this crap going around the way it is. He’s dead. The US will show “proof” soon enough.

A BIG thank you to our Special Forces who put this dirt bag down!!!May 2, 2011 at 4:06 pm #962610That photo makes me sick. The way the morning shows were talking this morning, it was like Obama was the one who pulled the trigger.
May 2, 2011 at 4:20 pm #962622Thank You all military personnel. The best in the world. There is a special place in hell for that scumbag.
May 2, 2011 at 5:12 pm #962650From an article I read online today.

After bursts of fire over 40 minutes, 22 people were killed or captured. One of the dead was Osama bin Laden, done in by a double tap — boom, boom — to the left side of his face.
That SEAL must have been a fan of Zombieland.

A Fitting song, Hell Ya. A big Thank You to all who have made sacrificed in the name of Freedom.
Interesting that both the death of Hitler and Bin Laden were announced on May 1.

I stopped to think about it . . .
and . . .
I think it would have made for easy surveillance.
Arrest anyone who shows up at “the shrine” and ship ’em off to GITMO.May 2, 2011 at 6:21 pm #962679A big thanks to our military, hopefully this gives a much needed and deserved boost in moral for our service men and woman.
Me, I dont need to see proof of a body or anything else. A small bit of justice has been served. Laddin was just a symbol or a name to focus blame. That symbol is gone now but the problem he represented is still there and not about to go away anytime soon..May 2, 2011 at 6:27 pm #962682

Senior U.S. officials told NBC News Monday that CIA Director Leon Panetta gave the order at midday Sunday for the joint special operations-military team that carried out the assault to raid the compound, the officials said. A senior U.S. official declined comment on whether CIA officers were on hand at the site, but Panetta’s role as commander would suggest they were. The CIA and special operations forces have worked together for years in counterterrorism operations.
According to current and former officials, Panetta was able to watch the operation in real time from the CIA, conferring live with Vice Adm. William H. McRaven, head of the Joint Special Operations Command, who was in Afghanistan.
President Obama was also there to watch things unfold.
A live video feed of the assault was available in both in the conference room and at the Situation Room at the White House, narrated by McRaven. One official described two moments in particular as “heart-stopping”: the moment the choppers arrived on the scene, and when they left the country.
Very, very cool stuff there! Would love to see that feed.

It made my day to hear the news this a.m. I was starting to wonder if that coward was ever gonna be found and killed.
And I agree it was better to kill him than bring him to trial.
Well Done!! Men and Women of our armed forces ! OoRah !!!!!
WKWMay 2, 2011 at 11:11 pm #962783This Star Trib article says that the coward used a woman as a human shield:

Mmmmm, tastes like chicken shiite.May 3, 2011 at 1:53 am #962839Isn’t it just a coincendence that Bin laden was found in a walled estate right next door to Pakistani military and ex military officers, ex and exhisting government officials etc. plus a mile away from thier equal to our West Point. Kind of funny that no one in the Pakistani government knew who was in that estate, Ahh Hmmm atleast they say they never knew he was there. Just last week the (highest ranking military official in Pakistan) said that terrorism had come to and end in that country. Can we believe anything that comes out of pakistan after Bin ladens impoundment was built in 95, I guess they build impoundment estates there all the time and the military and government officials say they just don’t know who builds them, Yaaa Right. How about they were all paid off via Bin ladens money, through the banks there where he kept part of it and were in on Bin Ladens take, that sounds more rational to me, building a huge estate like that and no one knew who built it or who was in it? The Seals got his hard drives and other information, now we’ll maybe see who in the Pakistani government knew he was there and for how long. Dead royal blood is what he is now, royal blood my as-.
