nylon webbing and a snap kit from the fabric store, super easy to do yourself

Bungee cord wrapped around them is cheap and easy.

I have one seat that will not stay closed either. I just wrap a bungee cord around it and problem solved. Besides, I find lots of other uses for a bungee cord in the boat from time to time

I bought some cheap seats from fleet farm and the tie downs snaps broke. I went to the hardware store and bought replacement button snaps. If you buy a piece of nylon strap and put a button on both ends it will look like it was made that way. The buttons are only $5 or so but make sure you buy the kit that has the tool for crimping them on. You cant put them on without it.

Spin them backwards or just shy of sideways is what I do. Maybe not an option with your layout? -Mark
