Prayers already sent, My friend’s family lives there. He said his parents are okay but do not know about the others yet. Homes destroyed right behind his parents home and he does not kow yet how bad his parents home is damaged. Got to feel sorry for them down there. Pictures on Weather channel were just jaw dropping.

(Good post Rat! ) No doubt! I was gonna post much of the same, flipped on TWC tonight and couldn’t believe it! The damage and loss of lives is unreal!! Prayers sent to anyone going through this horrific weather.

I guess I can deal with our cool temps, and rain, compared to that.

I have never been through a tornado, and the thought scares the He&& out of me!! I just cannot imagine the thought of losing everything you have.

    Prayers to everyone affected

For sure>prayers to all down there.
My wife took off today for a meeting with the CDC and all I can think about is the nasty weather down there. She said it was a pretty rough flight. She saw the news then and the damage in ‘Bama and other states down that way. Scary….

Ma and I went to a VFW fishfry last night and one of their tv’s had The Weather Channel on showing live coverage of a huge tornado crossing part of Birmingham, Alabama. A reporter outside covering this from a few miles away was pelted with shingle debris and pieces of broken glass as this storm passed.

As coverage switched back to a station radar screen, the storm system being watched suddenly developed two more hooks in the red mass behind the tornado already hitting the city and sure enough when the camera shot went back outside you could see the two new funnels developing, but neither came to the ground.

This was spellbinding to watch but at the same time you just knew people were going to suffer and maybe even die. Our prayers for these people started when the funnel came down last night at dinner time.

Prayers being sent for days now to other storm victims. Only 45 miles to the south of us here in the Northwoods Merrill had an EF3 22 mile long tornado that fortunately didn’t claim any lives and there have been many squall lines that have ravaged south central and southern U.S. since…
