Fishing on Clear Lake in Iowa

    Has anyone fished Clear Lake this week? Are the yellow bass biting yet? I heard that the crappies have been starting to pick up. Let me know if you have any info.

    Spoke with a Clear Lake guy yesterday. He woke up to 22°F and snow on the ground. Water temp too cold right now for much to get going.

    Thanks: I was wondering about that. I was thinking about going there on Sat. since the River is to high yet. I normally fish pool 4 and Lake Pepin.

    There was a post about Clear lake a week ago. I will give you the basic news. I live 45 mins away and stop by there every Wed for business. Last Wed the walleyes were starting to be around the inlet and outlet. Had not seem many fishing for the crappies yet. As stated the snow and cold has slowed things down a lot. There was NO ONE fishing yesterday and the bait shop report was nothing. We just need some warm temps to get them going. Instead the water temps went back down – it will mess them up.
