Well my cousin & I went out on Saturday afternoon to brave the high water and 20-25 mph winds. It started out with a bang. I couldn’t get my Lowrance to power up to start the day. Great start I thought. So any ways we made a few drifts, and found a few fish on a back current seem. I decided to anchor up on the bottom side of it and pitch blades up stream. It didn’t take long and there were tight lines for about 2.5 hours straight. What a blast. The first was a 22″ female full of eggs followed by a 21.5″, 19.5″, 18″, & two saugers 15.5″ & 16.5″. All caught on 1/4 oz blades. (Thanks Curt & Marshall for your help and company making these blades last weekend. ) Between the two of us we probably caught 50-60 fish. The favorate color of the day orange head & neon yellow body. Had a great time and thanks Peter for tagging along and being the net man. Just Kidding. Curt I thought I would post the pic of your golden lover for you. Thanks for the use of your hip boots while putting the boat back on the trailer. I don’t care what Marshall says about you your alright in my book. But I’m not sure why I never get any of your sausage.

Thanks for the text messages when you knew I was stuck at Easter with the inlaws. If the picture messages weren’t enough, finding out that CLWuensch was out there in my boat was enough to push it over the edge. My boat was probably so sad to have to fish without me.

Maybe I’ll have to take it out this week to make up for it.

Good fish guys. Glad the Spotted Cow inspired paint jobs worked out well on those blades.

Yes spotted cow really helps put you in the right frame of mind to come up with some secret fish catching colors. I think they should sponser us. We could make holstein colored blades.

And we could make Pat an udder pink one. Or maybe cowpie brown (with yellow dots for corn of course).

Now that I think of it we might want to get Advil on board first.
