Clearwaters current conditions. 4/10/07

    I was out on Clearwater today and it was a cold one out there and there is some ice building up here and there. Biggest sheet we seen was located between Bungalo and the eastside we drove thru it but the ice was about 3/4 to an inch thick. The crappie bite is very slow and light… We need some warm weather soon…

    Were you working the shallows or the deep water areas? Crappies were still holding in the deep holes adjecent to the spawing areas a few days ago…suspended. Yes, we need some warmer weather to move them up.

    We were working both shallow and deep.. They were definetly feeling the pressure of the current storm coming on. Had them on the locator suspended but they were just not very active when it came to eating..
    I will be going out again this week with the VS-560 so I can get a current water temp in and out of the bays..
