    Has anyonebeen out for panfish at all. Hoping to get the five year old out on some any info would be great. Thanks Sifty

    I was on lake Minnewaska last weekend and did REALLY well on sunnies. These fish haven’t spawned yet, but maybe by this weekend. Fished the outer edges of the weeds in 12-14ft.

    This week most of the lakes I have checked the gills were still spawning. I haven’t found any that the spawn is over. Check the shallows and you should be able to get in on some great fishing. I didn’t get to Minnewaska but I heard they are on the beds now. Good Luck

    Was on Minnewaska for the 4th weekend and did really well on the sunnies still. We fished along the pencil reeds on the Glenwood end of the lake near the chapel and along Hgy.28 in about 4-6′ of water. Most of these fish were 1/2 to 3/4 # without the spawn! Some fish still had spawn however. Big storm came thru Friday early morning but did’nt seem to chase anything away. Lots of smallies hitting in the same areas also. What a blst on Ultralights. Some walleyes were also coming into the resort also.
