Anybody been on the 3rd. lately? Going up friday for a week.Know the lake pretty well as this is our 12th year of fishing it. Just wondering if anybody else has been on it.

The crappie spawn is over. Still a few Males hanging around in the reeds. The bluegill are spawning right now and can provide some great action.
I like to go over to 4th and cast the weeds for pike and walleye. I haven’t fished 3rd for walleye yet this year but I would look to the deep gravel bars South of the shallow Spot in the lake. Good luck and let us know how you do.
June 29, 2003 at 11:39 am #269539Had a good week of fishing. Walleyes, crappies, northerns,bass, and sunfish were all biting. Sat.- Wen. we were catching eyes trolling cranks over top of weeds in 6 to 8 ft. of water. Not a real steady bite this way but we would get a few. Thurs. the bite really turned on with leeches and crawlers in 12 to 18 ft. of water. Nothing real big but a lot of fish in the 2-3lb. class. Had a really great week.
