Chisago Lakes Area?

I haven’t been out fishing in this area yet this year. I am thinking about going there this weekend. Looking for some crappies and panfish. Isn’t there a Sunrise Lake in the area that is pretty good?

Sunrise Lake is a prettty good bet in the area for numbers of gills and crappies. Sunrise has a healthy population of northerns as well. I am not sure if you have been here before but the only access to the lake is through a guys driveway. He charges a small fee to access through his area. Plenty of action to be had here. Look to the deeper holes for the most consistant action for the panfish. The size is nothing like it used to be many years ago, but definately worth a trip to get some action thats for sure. You can pick through the fish a little enough to put together a small meal if this is your game!

North Center and South Center lakes also offer some excellent panfish action to fill the void as well. These areas can be accessed through the public access areas.
