I had a chance to do some ice fishing on Gull this past weekend. We were fishing an area out by Grassy Point in one of the numerous deeper water areas. Our target fish was crappie and we did catch quite a few. Some were in the 1/2 lb range but most were smaller. We also caught 3 walleyes with 2 keepers and a small one. Small perch were keeping the tip-ups active also and we were surprised by the 3 whitefish that were caught on minnows.
The weather was nice with temps in the low 30’s. Plenty of ice which measured at 24″.
