Landing update….

For those of you familiar with Clearwater Lake just thought I would let you know that the Black Pool landing is now under construction. It is going to be a two ramp launch and I believe the landing/parking lot is going to be asphalt.
Also the road Bayberry is under construction and is well underway, they are bringing the road up 6 inches and as for the top surface I have not a clue but will update as I find out more… Just thought I would give you all an update on the landing situation here..

Do we know how many parking spots? And are they planning on redoing or closing any other ramps?

I will look into the parking spots to find out how many as for closing other ramps at this time nothing mentioned about it and they will not even make it a option to close the McBrides ramp for that one was just updated a couple years back. And those are the only two (Black Pool&McBrides) Public ramps available on the lake others are all privately owned. I will find out today and update though on both of your questions just to confirm..

Thanks GJK this is one of my favorite haunts. I have family in Annandale that live on Sugar. I can pound the slob bass in the am them hang with the fam all afternoon. It makes for a nice day.

I am heading over to the Black Pool access tomorrow morning I will see what I can find out and if anyone is working I will ask about the parking spots. Kinda got tied up this week with alot of other stuff….

Ok drove up there today and WOW!!!!

They have two landings set up now and while I was there a guy told me that the parking lot is going to triple in size that not only are they going to have parking on the bottom near the landings but on your way out where the sand pit USED to be they are putting a giant parking lot up there as well! Now when that is all full you can always remember my uncles place next to the landing there on BayBerry Rd. he allows people to park there for free! But PLEASE be considerate cause if people start tearing up his grass he will shut it down to the public. It is a bit of a walk but beats getting towed away cause it is a privately maintained road and there is ONE person that lives on it that will call everytime to have you towed..

OH yeah you cannot miss his place either it is where I have a MOUNTAIN of wood piled right now from the last tornado thru this area…lol

Thanks for the update Glenn. Sounds like a HUGE improvment. We should hook up for an afternoon hunt/fish some time. SOunds like we both know the area pretty well.

Let me know what you wanna do I also have 400 acres of land over in clearwater that a farmer wants me to evict some yotes. If it is fishing you wanna do well I have 3 boats ranging from 16 foot to 21.. But if it is winter fishing I got the ice houses as well..lol Let me know..

Oh yeah and as far as the landing is yep it is true went up there lastnight they are making it extremely larger they have the curbing in and both launches are in place. And it is for sure got two parking lots now one down by the landing the other to your right up on what used to be a hill…
