Alexandria Chain

    Heading up to Alexandria this weekend for some bass fishing. Anyone been out on LeHomme Dieu, Geneva, Carlos or Darling? Just wondering what the water’s like and how the bite is?

    I would fish Le Homme Deau, Geneva, Darling and Cowdry, in that order. Right now with all the rain, the quality fish are off the deep weedlines. I have been using spinner baits and plugs as search tools and when I contact fish I switch to jig worms. Also, at dusk I have been doing well on the bigger weedy flats using buzz baits. The bigger fish really rock this lure.

    I will be in Alexandria this weekend too…only on business. I will at the Alexandria fall sportshow put on by MinnKota Outdoors at the Runestone Community Center. Everyone is welcome to stop by their booth on Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm and say hi. (This sounds like a commercial!!) Jon

    Thanks for the help! Are the lakes really high? I guess I didn’t realize how much rain they’d gotten up there, I bet the water’s dirtier too..
