Horseshoe Chain

    Jon, do you ever fish the Horsehoe chain of lakes?

    And if so, what species and reports or comments would you have about it?

    I fished it over the last 10 years and fished it pretty hard this summer. Always thought it was a hit and miss, and after this summer I feel stronger than ever on that.

    Plenty of water with plenty of different structure. Just curious on your spin on it.

    Dman,

    I haven’t fished the Horseshoe chain in over 10 years, so my information is a little dated. I fished Long for crappies and bass and Horseshoe for walleyes. It seems to me that there is a channel in the Krons bay area that was good during the spring for walleyes. You’re right lots of structure and water to eliminate. Also, I fished Cedar yesterday and caught some small walleyes. Probably my last trip to that lake until next spring. JonN
