With the weather cooling I was torn between deer hunting and checking ice this Thanksgiving weekend-but ice it was. A chubby little bird told me that there was some activity in a couple of spots we know of in WI, so off we went. We started out Saturday afternoon and ended Sunday Morning. Ice was thin with most areas having about 2 1/2-4 inches, so we didn’t venture far. We hit some 9-10 inch gills on Saturday and a few on Sunday with a 12 inch crappie to boot. Overall a good outting with my first “reel” fish dinner of the hard water season. Can’t wait to get out again.
Good luck to everyone & be safe
