Beaver Dam WI

    My wife is headed to Beaver Dam WI for a couple days business trip. I thought about tagging along. Is there any safe ice up there yet, and what would be the lakes worth checking out?

    I live a few miles south, and we are just getting ice on the small ponds and creeks. I haven’t heard anything about safe ice yet or any larger bodies of water starting to freeze. What dates will you be here? I’m closing 2 projects over this week, then would be available for a steel-head trip????

    That would be tempting for sure. But if I ride up with her it would be this Weds/Thurs, so I suppose for now Ill stay home and maybe catch it on the next trip.

    give me shout before you come and we’ll see what the schedule looks like. I enjoy meeting up with IDO guys when I can. There is a lot of opportunities for both inland waters and lake michigan/tributaries this time of year.
