I had the weekend off and was able to get out fishing this morning. I decided to do some bass fishing on a lake that I had not fished in 4-5 years. I started at 5:00 throwing spinnerbaits with nothing going in the first 15 minutes. I then decided to switch over to swimming a jig and almost immediately hooked a big fish. It ended up being a big 21″ spawned out female! Nice way to start the morning! Long story short I ended up catching about 20 bass in 6 hours. Most of the bass where in the 14-15″ range with a few in the 12-13″ range. Most of the fish came on swimming the jig but I did get a few on senkos. I also had a 4-5 bonus northern pike. It was a little windy out there today but still a nice day to get out. Here is the pic of the big one.
