Word is they were trying to pass a law that would make it legal in a few NW Wisconsin counties in 2011. Anyone know if it went through?

Currently it’s only legal in a few border waters, ‘no place’ inland. It’s to protect the muskies???
Rumor I heard was that they were going to make it legal in a few ‘walleye’ lakes.
Sorry. All I know.

May 25, 2010 at 6:38 pm #874860Trolling in Wisconsin is done county by county and some lakes have no trolling even in counties that generally allow it. check the regulation book for the county and lake you are planning to fish. You can troll on Grindstone but not across the street on the chip. further east in the state the trolling regs are mostly no trolling unless it is a walleye type lake. Two guys can run 6 lines where you can. That drives the musky nuts well nuts.
