Apple River

Does anyone know where the public access is (if there is one) to get onto the Apple north of Amery?

Welcome to IDO. If you are talking the Apple north the only access that I’m aware of was on the East side of the lake. You had to drive just past the north end of the lake, take a right, and take the first right to drive along the cabins. About half way down there was a priveat residence that charged for accesing the lake. It has been many years since I have fished it though.

That private access has since been closed. The only way to access that portion of the river is to park up near the bridge and hike it in past the stumps.

Yes, I was aware the private drive is now closed. Making the hike from the highway doesn’t sound too exciting.

Thanks for the info. Now I understand why there has been a lack of fisherman on that part of the river. There may be other waters in the area that are just as good for fishing if you don’t have you heart set on the Apple.
