    Welcome to IDO

I am not from Wi and probably can’t help you out but ….

It might be easier to help on this if we had a better location as to what part of south central Wi you want to fish and what species you want to target.

I am sure others will chime in tho.

welcome aboard. Not sure exactly where you are from, but the best bite going around my neck of the woods is probably Monona Bay for gills. Its getting absolutely pummeled with guys, but continues to produce. Get there EARLY if you want to find a decent place to park.

What lakes are you targeting? You might want to look around for some fishing derby’s. Then go walk around and start asking a few questions when you find some friendly guys. Watch. Check out our ice fishing forum. Tons of good info in there. I would guess there is an answer to just about any question you have if you look in the archives! Good luck and welcome to the fun world of ice fishing.

Welcome to IDO. New to the lakes..or ice fishing? As mentioned above, a walk out on the ice and a friendly chat can get you a lot of info. Either lakes get crowds when the bite is on for pannies. Deeper weed edges for predator fish
