I spent a couple of hours on Marshmiller this morning. I was surprised to find 8″ of ice.

I spent a lot of time with my MarCumLX5 looking for bluegills with poor results. I couldn’t find much of anything.

In speaking with other anglers, they had a similar experience. Many were on the water for less than an hour before frustration took over.

I ended my morning with a 15k ski at Hickory Ridge.

Marshmellow is a last light bite Sully…. had the same results last night on Toona. Couldn’t even get a fish to look…

You are right. Marshmiller is a low light bite. If you are not on the ice a half hour before sunrise, you are missing out on the best bite. I dropped my tranducer 15 holes all over the bay and only marked one fish. That I have never seen in the past. Not sure what to think about it.
