Squaw Lake, ST Croix county

Moved things around on the Tracker and wanted to check the electronics, Water was nasty, smelled and looked like a septic in some of the bays. Only stayed out for about an hour. Got 4 Bass off of the island, 2 out of the second bay going north and 6 from the area south of ramp, was throwing a Gambler Flipper Tail. Will not go ot again until it clears up, water was also way down. In 2 days got crappies, pumpkin seeds, bass, perch, and northerns. Might try the St Croix later this week. In the mean time have to get some stuff done at the house.

there has been a good bite on the river lately. had a great day last Sunday

I stopped fishing there for the same reason as others have. In the past I kept a few panfish for eating and though the were cleaned whle still lively, they smelled so bad I had to toss them.
