Well I made it out to Island Lake Sunday after for some quick bass/pike/walleye action with a good friend of mine – Jay. We left my house at 3:00 not having high hopes for alot of action being that cold front had just came through. Well things went bad to worse when we hit the boat landing…I forgot the keys to the boat! 
Luckily I did have a full charge on the trolling motor and I did leave the house with the wife in a good mood! 
I called her and she was there with keys in a half an hour….thanks honey! 
We fished right up until dark with about 15 bass and a couple of pike that were brought to the boat. We did stop to fish an area for walleye’s just before and ended up getting one bite on a slip bobber/leech combo! Here is Jay with a nice 25 1/2″ Island Lake beauty! Took enough time take this picture with my cell phone before she was released back to the bottom! Looking forward to my next trip up there for some more multi species adventure!
